The Ambrosia Family

The Ambrosias are one of two vampire houses in Moonlight Peaks — the other being your own Dracula line. Headed by the theatrical, self-pitying Orlock, this is a family knocked off-balance: his wife disappeared, and the rift it left runs through everyone under his roof. They also run two of the town's social hubs — the café and the bar — so you'll cross paths with an Ambrosia most nights. All five are romance options.

Who's in the Ambrosia family

Five vampires, tangled into one strained but loving household:

  • Orlock — the patriarch. Haughty, obstinate and grieving, he's let a love of "the finer things" (mostly wine) deepen the rift with his kids. Underneath the theatrics is a sensitive soul who writes poetry and composes music.
  • Mina — Orlock's daughter, and the family's heart. She runs Coffee & Coffins and refused to let her dad close it after her mum vanished. Endlessly cheerful, she bakes to put smiles on people's faces.
  • Evan — Orlock's child and Mina's sibling (they/them), the "Coffins" half of the café. Aloof and star-gazing, they're quietly resisting Orlock's pressure to take over the family name.
  • Samael — Orlock's nephew, who's manned The Broken Lamp bar for centuries. A brooding romantic who tends roses and stares across the bay, "waiting… for someone."
  • Elvira — Samael's sister and Orlock's niece. A whirlwind of ideas and pet projects (to Orlock's annoyance); only Samael knows her softer, artistic side.

So the tree splits two ways: Orlock's own children (Mina and Evan) and his brother's children, his niece and nephew (Samael and Elvira). Mina and Evan are cousins to Samael and Elvira.

The family's story

The Ambrosia arc is about a family trying to hold onto the version of Orlock they remember. After his wife left, he wanted to shutter Coffee & Coffins entirely — Mina talked him out of it — and he's been drowning the loss in vintages ever since. Both Mina and Evan are "struggling to hold on to the father they remember."

You get pulled in almost immediately: Orlock's Wine Scheme is one of the very first quests in the game. He palms off a job on you — handing over blood-grape seeds and asking you to deliver him Red Wine — which quietly teaches the whole core loop (grow, ferment in a keg, deliver) and points you toward other residents. Helping the Ambrosias, in other words, doubles as your on-ramp to the game itself.

Where to find them

The Ambrosias anchor two of the town's buildings, so they're easy to work into a nightly route:

  • Coffee & Coffins — the café, run by Mina and Evan.
  • The Broken Lamp — the bar, tended by Samael.
  • Orlock and Elvira live in the town proper.

Gifting the Ambrosias

Handily, the Ambrosias share a family-wide soft spot: a Purple Azalea is liked across most of the house, so it's a safe default when you're courting more than one of them. Their player-confirmed favourites, though, are worth learning individually:

  • Orlock — loves White Wine (of course).
  • Mina — loves a Pink Azalea; also likes Honey and Yellow Azalea.
  • Evan — loves Black Tulips; dislikes the Maxima Clam.
  • Samael — likes a Purple Azalea, but dislikes a Pink Azalea, so match the shade carefully.
  • Elvira — likes a White Rose, Purple Lavender or Yellow Tulips.

The one trap: Mina loves the same Pink Azalea that Samael can't stand — a neat illustration of why the town's colour-matching rule matters. See the full gifts & friendship guide for every resident.

Common questions

Who leads the Ambrosia family?

Orlock Ambrosia — the patriarch, father to Mina and Evan and uncle to Samael and Elvira. His family has lived in Moonlight Peaks for centuries.

Are all the Ambrosias romanceable?

Yes. All five — Orlock, Mina, Evan, Samael and Elvira — are confirmed romance options, and dating is open regardless of gender.

What's the difference between the Ambrosia and Dracula families?

They're two separate vampire houses. You play a member of the Dracula line (with Count Dracula as your father and Viktor Dracula in your household); the Ambrosias are Orlock's unrelated vampire family who run the café and bar.

Which shops do the Ambrosias run?

Two: Coffee & Coffins, the café run by Mina and Evan, and The Broken Lamp, the bar tended by Samael.
