Count Dracula
Your sceptical father
“Prove to me that a life of compassion is possible — even for the undead.”
Count Dracula is your father in Moonlight Peaks — the famous vampire you set out to prove wrong by living a life of compassion in a sleepy supernatural town.
Every story in Moonlight Peaks starts with Count Dracula — your father, and the reason you’re here. The famous vampire is sceptical that one of his own could build a gentle life, and the whole premise of the game is your quiet rebellion against that doubt: you set out to prove to Count Dracula that a life of compassion is possible, even for the undead.
The heart of the premise
It’s a warm spin on a classic monster. Rather than menacing villagers, you’re growing crops by moonlight, learning spells, and falling for the locals — building the kind of life your father can’t quite believe in. That tension gives the cozy farming loop an emotional throughline that a lot of life-sims lack.
How he shapes your game
Count Dracula isn’t just backstory — he’s the framing for your goals in town. Everything you build connects back to that promise: your moonlit farm, the witchcraft you learn, and the relationships you grow across the seven families.
Head of your family line
Count Dracula anchors the Dracula line — your own family among Moonlight Peaks’ seven founding families. You’re the newcomer vampire carrying that name into town, which quietly ties your personal story to the game’s bigger mystery of uncovering the families and restoring light to the town.
Now the game is out, we know the Dracula line isn’t just you and your father: the crypt-decorating vampire Viktor — confirmed as Viktor Dracula — is also part of it. That’s a distinct household from Orlock’s Ambrosia family, the town’s other major vampire line, which makes for a nice bit of world-building: two vampire houses in one small town, with very different personalities.
Carrying the crest
The seven families aren’t just lore — they’re a progression system. Each has a crest you place in the Crest Garden, and doing so for every house is a run of launch achievements (yours among them: The Draculas, “Place the Dracula Crest in the Crest Garden”). Restoring the crests is bound up with uncovering the families and bringing the town back to life — so carrying the Dracula name isn’t ceremonial, it’s a thread you actively pull on. And proving your father wrong has a very concrete endpoint too: fully upgrading your creaky inherited cottage into a proper Dracula Estate (yes, that’s an achievement as well).
We’ll fill in Count Dracula’s specific story beats and appearances with confirmed detail as more of the game’s plot is documented. Meet the rest of the townsfolk, or see where your bloodline sits among the seven families.
