Orlock
Vampire family patriarch & romance option
“Every town needs a vampire who knows where all the trouble is — and started half of it.”
Orlock is the patriarch of the Ambrosia family in Moonlight Peaks and a confirmed romance option — a theatrical troublemaker with a soft spot for poetry, music and wine, and a strained relationship with the kids his wife left behind.
Orlock is the vampire neighbour every cozy town secretly needs: patriarch of the Ambrosia family — confirmed as one of Moonlight Peaks’ vampire houses now the game is out — and its resident comic-relief troublemaker. He’s also a confirmed romance option, which recontextualises a lot of his early theatrics: underneath the drama is a vampire dealing with a wife who left, two kids who barely speak to him, and a genuine soft spot for poetry, music and wine.
Patriarch of the Ambrosia family
Moonlight Peaks is built around seven families, and Orlock heads the vampire house now confirmed as Ambrosia — a name that was only community-datamined speculation before launch and is now corroborated across multiple post-launch reviews. That makes him a useful face to know as you learn how the town’s social map fits together — see the families overview for how those groups connect.
The vampire–werewolf feud
Orlock sits right in the middle of one of the town’s running tensions: vampires and werewolves rarely get along, and there’s plenty of low-stakes squabbling between the two camps. As a newcomer vampire, you’ll feel that rivalry from his side of the fence — even as you might be busy romancing a werewolf like Saga on the other.
Orlock’s Wine Scheme — his first quest
Orlock isn’t just background colour; he hands you one of the demo’s early quests, “Orlock’s Wine Scheme,” and it’s pure Orlock. He’s dramatic, hungover, and conspicuously unwilling to pay his nephew Samael for wine — so he palms the job off on you instead. He gives you Blood Grape Seeds and effectively makes you his vintner: grow the grapes, ferment them, and bring him Red Wine.

The quest has two objectives that double as a tidy introduction to the game’s systems: find Viktor somewhere on the plot, and deliver Red Wine to Orlock. Making the wine sends you through the early farming and cooking/processing loop — plant the blood grapes, build a keg, ferment — so Orlock’s laziness is really the game teaching you the economy. His demands are loud and theatrical to match (“I require a coffin! Wine! Fine dining! Wine!”), which is exactly why players remember him.
His nephew Samael and the vampire Viktor both orbit this storyline, sketching out a little vampire-family web around Orlock — useful to know as you piece together the town’s seven families.
A romance option with real baggage
Now that the game has launched, Orlock is confirmed as romanceable — one of several vampires in the Ambrosia line you can court. His bio fills in why he’s such a mess: his wife left, and he’s been left holding a strained relationship with his kids ever since. He’s got real tastes underneath the theatrics, too — poetry, music and wine are the things reviewers say he responds to. His confirmed loved gifts — Red Wine and a Blood Orange Cupcake — are now in the Quick facts above, alongside his other likes.
Orlock’s family
His household is now confirmed rather than datamined. He has two children — Mina and Evan, a pair of vampire siblings — plus a nephew, Samael, and a niece, Elvira; all four are themselves confirmed romance options in their own right (see their profiles: Samael, Evan, Elvira, Mina). The family carries the Ambrosia crest. This lines up with the pre-launch community datamining almost exactly — it just needed the launch build to confirm it.
Orlock’s loved & disliked gifts
Fittingly for a vampire whose whole first quest is about wine, Orlock’s loved gifts are wine and a Blood Orange Cupcake. Player-confirmed so far:
