The skeptic who got dragged along
It was his family’s decision to move to Moonlight Peaks, and now Winston is… stuck. He doesn’t really buy into all the supernatural stuff and would honestly rather pretend none of it exists — a running contrast with his supernatural-obsessed sister Jada and aunt Persephone, the rest of the human Henderson house. His overactive imagination doesn’t help; left to it, he’ll suspect the worst from every supernatural neighbour in town.
A heart of gold under the nerves
But can you blame him? He’s just a regular guy. Winston might be a bit of a scaredy-cat and a little awkward, but he’s got a heart of gold — and once he feels comfortable and lets his guard down, he really lets loose. Getting him there is the whole arc of his romance: the reward is the fun, warm person hiding under all that caution. Courting him as a vampire is half the comedy — his opening line is a nervous “So, um, what do vampires even do for fun?” His birthday is Spring 13.
