Developing a cozy life simulator is about more than just crop layouts and fishing spots. It is also about creating a world where every supernatural resident feels like they truly belong. In a recent development update from Little Chicken Game Company, 3D artist Julia shared an intriguing breakdown of how the team is updating the interior of the Logan house, offering fans a closer look at the aesthetic choices defining the town’s local werewolf.

Redesigning Logan’s Werewolf Den

Logan is expected to be one of the eligible supernatural bachelors you can build relationships with, making his personal living space a key point of interest for future players. The development team decided to modernize an older concept design for his house to ensure it aligns with the game’s evolving visual standards.

During the translation from 2D concept art to a 3D in-engine model, the team prioritized architectural realism. Julia revealed that because the exterior design of Logan’s house was already completed, the interior floor plan had to be adjusted accordingly. The fireplace and bedroom were swapped so that the fireplace matches up perfectly with the chimney on the left side of the roof structure. Additionally, the kitchen area was repositioned to give the house a more natural and livable flow.

This level of detail suggests that players will spend a significant amount of time visiting residents, possibly to deliver gifts, trigger cutscenes, or progress through the romance-guide.

Cozy Gothic Aesthetics and Immersive Details

The preview highlights a design language that sets the game apart from typical farming sims. Instead of bright, rustic wooden farms, the werewolf residence features:

  • Darker, warmer color palettes designed for nocturnal life.
  • Custom furniture and props tailored to a werewolf’s daily routine.
  • A clear division of functional spaces like a stone fireplace, kitchen, and sleeping quarters.

These interior details offer clues about the lifestyle of the local pack. While the developers have not yet detailed how house visits will function mechanically, these detailed environments indicate that getting to know characters like Logan will involve exploring their personalized homes and understanding their distinct cultural roots within the seven founding families.

Expanding to Next-Gen Portable Play

As anticipation builds for the July release, the community has also turned its attention to target platforms. On social channels, players are highlighting the game as a highly anticipated title for upcoming hardware, including the rumored Nintendo Switch 2.

While XSEED and Marvelous have confirmed the launch on Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android, discussions on subreddits like r/switch2 show that fans are eager to see how the game’s glowing magical crops and cozy night scenes will perform on upgraded hardware. Players hope the extra power will help resolve the loading screen concerns raised during the recent eShop demo.
