Moonlight Peaks Release Date, Platforms & Where to Play
Moonlight Peaks is out now on PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 and Android. Here's the release date, price, demo, Digital Deluxe bundle, physical edition, PS5/iOS status, and where to play.
Is Moonlight Peaks out yet? Yes. Moonlight Peaks is now available on PC/macOS via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and Android via Google Play Games. The short version: the standard edition is US$34.99, the Switch 2 Edition is US$39.99, and the official site now points players straight to live storefronts.
Release date
The western digital launch was Tuesday, July 7, 2026 across PC, macOS, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and Android. Steam may show July 6, 2026 for some players because its store dates are region/time-zone sensitive; the official campaign date remains July 7.
One regional wrinkle: in Japan and the wider Asia region, the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions arrived two days later, on July 9, 2026, distributed by Clouded Leopard Entertainment. That Asian console release lists support for English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and German.
Platforms
All five versions ship day one:
| Platform | Notes |
|---|---|
| PC (Windows) | Via Steam. $34.99 standard edition; Digital Deluxe bundle also listed. |
| macOS | Also via Steam. $34.99 standard edition. |
| Nintendo Switch | Original Switch hardware. $34.99. |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Dedicated Switch 2 edition. $39.99. |
| Android | Through Google Play Games. |
A cozy life-sim is a natural fit for handheld and mobile play, so the Switch and Android versions are likely to be how a lot of players spend their evenings with it. For the Switch-specific breakdown — Switch vs Switch 2, the eShop demo and pricing — see our Nintendo Switch guide.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is tiered by edition. The standard version — on PC (Steam) and the original Nintendo Switch — is US$34.99, while the dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 Edition runs US$39.99, based on the official Nintendo store listings. Launch-week discounts can vary by platform and region; Steam, for example, is showing an introductory discount during launch week. The practical advice: check your local storefront before buying, then use the free demo if you’re still on the fence.
What about PlayStation, Xbox and iPhone?
A few platforms come up a lot, so to be clear about what’s not confirmed:
- PS5 / PlayStation: no PlayStation version has been announced.
- Xbox: no Xbox version has been announced.
- iOS / iPhone: mobile play is confirmed on Android via Google Play Games, but there’s no confirmed iPhone release.
We’ll update this the moment any new platform is officially announced — we don’t list a platform until it’s confirmed.
Publishers
Moonlight Peaks is made by the Dutch studio Little Chicken Game Company. Publishing is split by region: XSEED Games handles the Americas, Marvelous Europe handles Europe — both familiar names in the cozy and Japanese-adjacent life-sim space — and Clouded Leopard Entertainment distributes the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions across Japan and Asia (arriving July 9, 2026).
Try the demo first
You can still try before buying. A free demo released in June 2026 on PC and Switch, giving you a hands-on slice of the farm, the town and the early supernatural systems. Our demo guide covers exactly what’s included and how long it runs — it’s the best way to see whether the vibe clicks before you read our beginner tips.
Physical edition
Digital isn’t the only option. Marvelous Europe is releasing a physical Nintendo Switch 2 Edition across Europe on August 28, 2026 — about seven weeks after the digital launch — priced at €49.99 / £44.99. The box includes an exclusive collectible sticker sheet of the town’s residents and a digital soundtrack. It’s the collector’s pick rather than the day-one pick: if you want to play on July 7, go digital; if you want the box on the shelf, the physical edition is worth the August wait. Full story in our physical edition news.
Steam features
On PC, the Steam version’s confirmed feature set includes Steam Achievements, Steam Trading Cards, Steam Cloud saves, and full controller support (with DualShock/PlayStation controller support listed too) — a natural fit given the game’s controller-first design, which we cover in the Steam Deck guide.
Editions and bundles
Steam now lists the standard game alongside a Digital Deluxe Bundle and separate soundtrack/art-book extras. Treat the bundle as the convenience pick if you already know you want the music and art; if you only want to farm, date and decorate, the standard edition is the clean buy.
