Yabbis the Magic Toad
The seed-shop toad
“Every garden starts with a seed — and every seed, with a toad who has them.”
Yabbis the Magic Toad runs the seed shop in Moonlight Peaks — the talking amphibian you buy your crop seeds from, making him one of the most important early faces for any aspiring vampire farmer.
Not every important resident of Moonlight Peaks is a brooding vampire or a moonstruck werewolf. Some of them are a talking toad in a little hat — and if you want to grow anything at all, Yabbis the Magic Toad is the first merchant you need to know. He runs the seed shop, which makes him the supply line for your entire farm.
Where to buy seeds
Yabbis is your seed merchant: this is where you stock up on the crops and flowers that power the farming side of the game. Everything from staple crops to the special blooms you’ll want for flower arranging starts as a purchase at his counter, so a trip to Yabbis is part of nearly every farming cycle — buy seeds, plant, harvest, sell, and come back for more.
He’s also where the game’s economy loops begin. When Orlock ropes you into his Wine Scheme, the Blood Grape Seeds that quest revolves around are exactly the sort of thing Yabbis deals in — so the humble toad is quietly wired into the town’s questlines as well as its agriculture.
Why Yabbis matters early
In a game where money is tight at the start (see the money & selling guide), how you spend at Yabbis’ shop shapes your first week. Picking seeds that suit the current season — crops don’t grow out of season unless you’ve built a greenhouse — and that sell well is one of the earliest strategic decisions you make. Get to know his stock and you’ve got the foundation of a profitable farm; ignore him and you’ve got a lot of empty soil.
Yabbis’ shop
Yabbis sets up as a travelling merchant with a rotating stock of decor and oddities — and there’s more than one of him, with a second Yabbis appearing across the cursed bridge selling different wares. What’s locked in is his role: the friendly magic toad who sells you the seeds everything else grows from.
Plan your purchases with the crops list and farming guide, and meet the rest of the townsfolk.
