The Moonlight Peaks Demo Is Out Now on PC and Switch
A free Moonlight Peaks demo has launched on PC and Nintendo Switch ahead of the July 7, 2026 release, letting you try the moonlit farm, town and supernatural systems early.
You don’t have to wait until July to set foot in town. A free demo for Moonlight Peaks is available now on PC and Nintendo Switch, arriving about a month ahead of the full July 7, 2026 release.
What you can try
The demo is a hands-on slice of the core experience: settling into your cottage, starting a small moonlit farm, meeting some of the supernatural residents, and getting a feel for the witchcraft and cozy-activity loop. It’s the clearest answer yet to the obvious question — does this play as charmingly as it looks? — and an ideal way to decide whether to wishlist or pre-order.
Make the most of it
If you’re jumping in, our beginner’s guide translates directly to the demo: start your farm small, learn the early farm-helper spells, and spend time meeting people. It’s also a good moment to see the farming and witchcraft systems in action before launch.
Demo saves and how much carries over to the full game hadn’t been fully detailed at the time of writing; we’ll update this post if the developers confirm progress transfer.
